While rumours about Xiaomi working on an affordable 4G LTE smartphone are doing rounds, Gionee has already announced its all new 4G smartphones in India.
Gionee now adds four new devices to its portfolio – V6L LTE, Pioneer P5L LTE, P4S and P6 – which will be available by mid-December. In fact, the company claims that starting 2015, all its smartphones priced above Rs 10,000 will feature LTE. Gionee has also showcased its popular S series devices namely Elife S5.1 and Elife S5.5 with the LTE ability.
Taking cues from the S series, the Gionee V6L LTE device is slim at 6.9mm. It sports a 5-inch IPS display along with 8GB onboard storage that is epxandable up to 128Gb via microSD card slot. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor and 1GB RAM, it runs Android 4.4 KitKat. This dual SIM phone will be priced at Rs 15,000. Next in line is the Pioneer P5L LTE with almost similar specs like 1.2GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.4 KitKat, 8GB onboard storage and microSD card support up to 128GB.
Priced at Rs 10,000, the device also includes 5MP rear camera, LTE connectivity, and 1800 mAh battery.
The P6 sports a 5.0-inch FWVGA display. It comes with a semi transparent coating. The Gionee Pioneer P4S comes with a window flip case that enables the phone to show weather, date and time in the flip window. It comes with semi transparent shell with rounded corners. Not much is known about these devices, yet.
Gionee ELife S5.1 is the company’s slimmest smartphone with a metallic frame and glass body at just 5.1mm thickness. It is quite similar and successor to the Elife S5.5. It sports a 4.8-inch 720p AMOLED display and powered by 1.7GHz octa-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Some others specs include 16GB storage, Android 4.4 along with Amigo 2.0 UI, 8MP rear camera, LTE connectivity, and 2050mAh battery.
