As predicted, iQOO has launched the iQOO Neo 6 in China, a new high-end gaming-centric smartphone. The phone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, many gaming-specific features, and a nice design. Here’s all you need to know.
iQOO Neo 6 Specifications and Features
The iQOO Neo 6 sports a design similar to the iQOO 9 Pro, but with a smaller rectangular camera island. The Pink and Blues variants have a “lychee leather” finish, whilst the Black Lord model has an AG glass at the rear.
A 6.62-inch OLED Samsung E4 HDR10+ display with a punch-hole cutout in the middle and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels graces the front. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 6 million: 1 contrast ratio, and a peak brightness of 1300 nits, as well as a fingerprint scanner. A specific chip for decreased GPU rendering load, frame rate boost mode, and high frame low power mode is included in the display. MEMC is also supported.
The iQOO 6 Neo, as previously stated, features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The camera department is equally impressive. There’s a 64-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization, as well as a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. The front snapper has a resolution of 16 megapixels. AI Multi-Frame Noise Reduction, Night Raw HDR Algorithm, AI Anti-Glare Algorithm, Portrait mode, Night mode, dual-view video, up to 10x digital zoom, 4K movies, and more are all supported by the phone.
The iQOO Neo 6 is powered by a 4,700mAh battery that enables 80W rapid charging. This is capable of charging to 30% in about 5 minutes. The smartphone runs OriginOS, which is based on Android 12 and includes the Vivo Card service, privacy-focused features, and other user-friendly features.
It supports a 6-layer 3D graphite cooling system, Multi-Turbo 6.0, Memory Fusion 2.0 (up to 4GB of additional RAM), a dual-line linear motor, a dual-control pressure sensing design, and other features. 5G, Wi-Fi Bluetooth version 5.2, OTG, USB Type-C connector, NFC, and other connectivity options are available.
Price and Availability
The iQOO Neo 6 is priced at CNY 2,799 in China and will be available for purchase on April 20. The following are the pricing for all configurations:
- CNY 2,799 for 8GB+128GB (around Rs 33,400)
- CNY 2,999 for 8GB+256GB (around Rs 35,800)
- CNY 3,299 for 12GB+256GB (around Rs 39,400)
Accessories for the iQOO Neo 6 will cost CNY 299 (about Rs 3,500) for the 44W Flash Charge power bank and CNY 1,99 (approximately Rs 2,380) for the iQOO Extreme Wind Cooling Back Clip Pro (with a temperature display and a halo lighting effect). Both are now available for CNY 259 and CNY 169.
