Apple just released new MacBook Air and Pro models with its newest M2 CPUs, and reports suggest that more Macs are on the way. And now, courtesy of Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we have some specifics about the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro.
New MacBook Pro Models Are on the Way!
According to Gurman’s current Power On newsletter, Apple is already planning to release new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models using the future M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs. These will be the successors to last year’s 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs.
The new MacBook Pro models will be nearly identical to the present ones, with the added benefit of higher performance than the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs. As a result, we may anticipate improved displays with a notch, a larger port selection, and more.
In addition, it is stated that the M2 Pro and M2 Max “focus to be on the graphics side, just like with the standard M2.” For those who don’t aware, the M2 chip delivers a 35% better GPU and an 18% higher performance. As a result, we may anticipate certain enhancements over the M2 regular version from the M2 Pro and M2 Max. For a variety of specialists, including video editors and others, this will be useful.
We also have a likely debut date; it is expected that the new 14-inch and 16-inch Pro will be available between this autumn and the spring of 2023. However, this is not an official schedule, and there is a risk that the launch will be postponed. Even the selling timeframe might be pushed back, and there is currently no formal news about it.
As a result, it’s preferable to wait for further data to emerge before forming an opinion about Apple’s future Mac plan. We’ll keep you updated. So keep an eye out.
