WhatsApp has introduced new Business features for their App
WhatsApp users can now search for businesses that fit into these categories, like travel and banking. They’ll also be able to search by name, and a Discover Business option makes it easy to find one. It comes as WhatsApp will automatically dismiss phone numbers found on websites, making the process simpler.
Technically speaking, you are entirely protected when surfing the ‘Business Search. There’s no need to worry about getting an unexpected message of your search results popping up on a public profile or worry that someone will follow you at work because they were looking for your business. Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico, and the UK are currently among the countries that have been given access.
WhatsApp will be adding in-chat payment options soon for consumers in Brazil. With the new feature, consumers can make payments to partner companies using debit and credit cards via the messaging App. This move comes after India first saw this new feature when WhatsApp introduced JioMart from WhatsApp Payments into the country. After Brazil saw success, it too speedily brought the service over there.
WhatsApp’s announcement is another way they are working to make buying and selling frictionless. It will be a game-changer for consumers, businesses, and the people who use their platform to buy and sell.
