It’s no secret that Apple is expected to make big changes with the iPhone 15 Pro leak. Now, we have our first glimpse of what those changes may look like – a leaked image of the upcoming device reveals a USB-C port and a large camera hump! Read on to learn more about the next iPhone’s potential design update.
The leaked renders were created by 3D artist Ian Zelbo in collaboration with 9ToMac, and show a device with very thin bezels, rounded edges, and a large camera hump. The display is expected to measure 6.1 inches, the same size as the iPhone 14 Pro, but with a larger screen area due to the thinner bezels.
iPhone 15 Pro Leak Renders Show Major Design Changes
One significant change that the leaked images reveal is the presence of a USB Type-C port, which will replace the long-running Lightning port. This move is expected to comply with the EU law to standardize USB-C.
However, there have been rumours that the iPhone 15 series might only support MFI-certified accessories through its USB-C port. Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro models might support USB 3.2. In contrast, the standard models could be limited to USB 2.0, resulting in varying speeds.
The leaked renders also show changes to the volume rocker and alert slider, which do not resemble those on the current iPhones and could be based on the solid-state button design that has been rumored previously. Finally, the images depict a larger camera hump that protrudes more than previous iterations of the iPhone.
While these details are only rumours, they are consistent with other leaks and rumours about the iPhone 15 series. The actual design of the device will not be confirmed until its official launch in September.
