Apple may have launched the new iPhone SE for emerging markets, but the 4-inch smartphone seems to be a hit in the US already. According to a report by AppleInsider, the newest iPhone has already run out of stock in the US and the earliest delivery date is April 20.

The report adds that all models with almost all carriers were out of stock and on conducting a check, the news site found that in-store pick were also not available for major markets in the US. However, it does mention sporadic availability of specific models.

“The $399 16GB iPhone SE models seem to have greater availability than the $499 64-gigabyte versions. For example, a rose gold 16GB model is advertised to arrive April 12, but switching to the 64-gigabyte model delays arrival to April 20-27 depending on shipping method with Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and SIM-free,” the report points out. However, there is no word on the Apple’s iPhone SE inventory yet.

While the SE seems to have been a great move, looks like the 9.7-inch iPad Pro hasn’t managed to attract audiences. The latest Wi-Fi models are expected to arrive within a couple of days and same-day in-store pickup is also ‘widely available’, adds the report.

Meanwhile, GulfNews reports that the 64GB iPhone SE is facing shortage in Dubai.
Now, it is to be seen, how well the iPhone SE is received in India as it is slated to be launched tomorrow. Apple had already announced the official retail price at Rs 39,000 for the 16GB variant and a ridiculous Rs 49,000 for the 64GB variant.

Apple’s official prices for the iPhone 6S are still pretty high, but online retailers are selling the same at lower prices. The iPhone 6S (16GB) is listed for as low as Rs 43,699 with the 64GB version selling for Rs 55,499 and the 128GB priced at Rs 60,599.

So, it would make little sense to go in for an iPhone that looks a bit dated and even comes with a premium price tag. For those who have been waiting for a smaller 4-inch iPhone, it could still seem like a good deal as it only lacks the updated front-facing camera and 6s’ 3D Touch display; features that many may be ready to compromise on.
