iOS 16 features: Apple officially announced its annual WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) this week, which will begin on June 6 and go through June 10. At WWDC 2022, the Cupertino behemoth will reveal its next-generation development tools, new operating systems, and more. So, ahead of Apple’s formal release of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, Apple analyst Mark Gurman has some information for us. Let’s take a closer look.
According to reports, iOS 16 will have a new notification and health-tracking features.
While we wait for Apple’s next-generation iOS 16 updates to be officially unveiled at WWDC 2022, Gurman recently offered some information regarding the company’s ambitions. With his most recent Power On email, the analyst stated that he does not foresee any UI redesigns in iOS 16. Instead, Gurman claims that Apple is likely to improve its notification system and include a slew of health-tracking capabilities. In terms of UI redesigns, the report suggests that the business may tweak the multi-tasking UI in iPadOS 16.
“On the iOS side, I’m looking for some fairly significant enhancements across the board, including an update to notifications and new health-tracking features,” Gurman added. “I’m not expecting an end-to-end redesign of iOS’s interface, even though it hasn’t changed much since iOS 7 nearly a decade ago. But there might be a new iPadOS multitasking interface,” Gurman remarked.
Aside from these, specifics on the future watchOS 9 and macOS 13 upgrades are scant for the time being. However, the analyst speculated that Apple would offer us a first look at its iOS platform, which will power its AR/VR headsets. Furthermore, Apple is expected to release new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, as well as an upgraded Mac Mini and a 24-inch iMac, later this year. As a result, the corporation may unveil a few hardware gadgets over the four-day event.
