Although Asus hasn’t provided many details about the product, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t be a little phone with lots of potentials. So, we may anticipate that the phone will have premium specifications, similar to the Zenfone 8. The existence of a Zenfone 9 Flip is still unknown.
Additionally, the phone was showcased in a newly leaked advertising film (via TechGoing), which provided some insight into what to anticipate. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor is expected to power the Zenfone 9’s 5.9-inch AMOLED display, which will enable a 120Hz refresh rate. Recall that the Snapdragon 888 SoC was included in the Zenfone 8.
The smartphone is also said to include a 50MP primary camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor and Gimbal functionality. Other camera details are unknown, however, the phone may have two at the rear. A 4,300mAh battery is also speculated, although we don’t know anything about the device’s rapid charging capabilities. It might also include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP68 water resistance, Android 12, dual speakers, and other features. Asus may potentially sell a phone case with a kickstand.
Other information is still being kept under wraps, and we will have to wait for them to emerge. This is likely to happen virtually daily till Asus officially unveils the Zenfone 9. So, stay tuned for further information on this.
