What do you do when you have an arsenal of guns and an abundance of bank balance to buy new mobile devices whenever you wish at your disposal? Well, if you’re Richard Ryan, you pick your favorite weapon and pit it against the latest gadget you possess. The YouTuber and marksman has taken to shooting new devices and capturing the whole process in painstaking slow motion – after making the Galaxy Gear his target a few months back, Ryan decided to turn his scope towards the Galaxy S5, which is shaping up to be one of the most rugged Samsung smartphones ever.
However, no matter how rugged a phone might be, the chances of it making it after being hit by a bullet from a .50-caliber sniper rifle are slim to none. That’s especially true when the shooter has solid aim and hits the device from its side instead of the front or back, which, in this case, managed to blow the Galaxy S5 to smithereens with a finality that no amount of repair work could ever reverse.
