Get Ready For The Realme GT Neo 5: 240W Fast Charging and More

In January, Realme revealed its incredible 240W fast-charging technology and teased the launch of GT Neo 5 as the first mobile to support this astonishing charging speed. Well, the moment has arrived! The phone is now available in China, and you can juice up its battery in less than 10 minutes – unbelievable! It also comes with a 50MP camera setup, LED notification light, the latest Snapdragon flagship processor, and several other amazing features. Let’s have a look at all those details.

Realme GT Neo 5 Announced in China

As soon as the Realme GT Neo 5 was teased, everyone was curious about the LED lighting on its back. So let’s discuss its highlights and then look at its basic specs. Although Realme says the back panel looks like a typical Android phone, it’s inspired by transparent gaming phones like the Red Magic 8 Pro.

Behind the metallic camera island is a transparent glass panel that reveals the Snapdragon chipset surrounded by Halo RGB lighting. In contrast to the Nothing Phone (1), which only has white LEDs, Realme allows you to customize immensely. You can choose between 25 colours, 5-speed settings, and more. The RGB lights are activated when you receive notifications (messages, calls, etc.) and when you play games.

The GT Neo 5 is available in three variants: white, black, and purple. Realme also talked about its premium design. A matte fusion process creates a textured glass back panel on the purple colour variant. On the camera island, there is a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera (Sony IMX355) and a 2MP microscope lens. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera.

The Realme GT Neo 5 boasts a powerful 4,600mAh battery that supports 240W fast charging. Charging time is nothing to scoff at – from 1% to 20% only takes 80 seconds, and up to 50% in 4 minutes. That’s fast enough for anyone! For those who don’t need extreme speeds, there’s the 150W variant with a 5,000mAh battery unit that fully charges in just 16 minutes. Whichever you choose, both versions make for an amazing experience.

In the GT Neo 5, the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is used as in the OnePlus 11R. Other features include 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, a 4500 mm2 3D VC cooling system, and Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0.
