Gionee has listed a new smartphone dubbed P5W on its global site.
The Gionee P5W is a dual-SIM, dual standby device sporting a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution and featuring Oncell technology. It measures 143.3x72x8.9mm and weighs 153 grams. Under the hood, it comes powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC coupled with 1GB RAM. The device runs Android Lollipop along with the vibrant Immersive UI.
The Gionee P5W features 16GB of onboard storage that is further expandable. On the camera front, expect a 5-megapixel autofocus rear snapper and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a DTS 3D surround sound powered audio.
The connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and microUSB 2.0. A 2000mAh battery finally completed the package. The smartphone comes dipped in white, blue, red, yellow, and black colour options. There is no word on the price details or when the device will reach Indian shores. However, the specifications hint at a budget device.
The company had recently announced the Marathon M5 in India. It is exclusively available via Flipkart sans any registrations or flash sales priced at Rs 17,999. The main highlight of the device is its whopping 6020mah battery, which the company has achieved by deploying two 3010mAh batteries.
