To celebrate the holiday season, Google has released some new Android features. You can install them on your smartphone, tablet, or even Wear OS watch. Here are some changes: Reading mode on YouTube, a search widget on the home screen, and more.
New Features for the Android Announced
The new Reading mode is a feature designed to improve the reading experience for individuals with impaired vision or who are blind. Once downloaded via the Play Store, it will become available in Settings.
The Reading Mode will help you get more out of your reading experience. It removes distracting elements like ads and offers adjustable contrast, font type, and size. The text-to-speech feature lets you listen to articles read aloud in English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
If you have a new Pixel phone or an iPhone, you’ll be able to share the digital key with them. This feature is coming to some Android phones running version 12 and above.
This new YouTube search widget for the home screen will give you access to videos, Shorts, and more with a simple tap. Plus, the Google TV app can directly cast to compatible TV just by tapping on it.
With the latest update, Google Photos now has DABSMYLA Collage Styles, which let you control your photos, from adding custom colors and designs to picking your frames, As well as the new option to reply to a specific message on Google, like WhatsApp.
