Unlike other editions, the Android 13 Go Edition was specially designed to help reduce the size of the app and only take up a small amount of space on your device.
Google has launched the Go Edition of Android 13, which is meant for low-end smartphones. This edition is based on several essential features: the Material You design. Google also revealed in their blog that they now have over 250 million monthly active Android Go devices.
Android 13 is back with a Go Edition!
Material Design is now available with Android 13 Go Edition, the first time it’s been offered on an Go phone. It will change the entire color scheme of the phone based on your chosen wallpaper and give you more customization options. It’s already available on AD 12 and 13.
Google has also introduced “built-in intelligence,” the Discover feature. This feature allows you access to curated articles and additional content by swiping right from your homepage.
Google has released Google Play System Updates for Go to devices. It will grant phones without significant Android release updates with essential security patches and bug fixes. Without them, these low-powered devices would be vulnerable to malware and expose the device’s internal storage data.
Android 13 Go Edition will come with Notification Permissions, App Language Preferences, and other features. However, Android Go Edition won’t be released until 2023, and we don’t currently know the exact timeline.
