Google launched the Chromecast 4K streaming gadget in India in July, two years after it was first launched in 2020. In addition, the company launched new Chromecast models with HD capabilities and lower prices.
Google Chromecast HD Specifications and Features
The new Chromecast is a small dongle that looks like a Chromecast 4K. Like the 4K version, it can be connected to a TV via an HDMI connector. It supports 1080p HDR video streaming compared to the 4K streaming capabilities of the previously announced model.
Users can access movies, shows, and thousands of apps such as Apple TV, Disney + Hotstar, MX Player, Netflix, Prime Video, Voot, YouTube, and Zee5. Google Assistant is also supported via the remote control.
The remote includes a Google Assistant button (as well as YouTube and Netflix buttons) for finding recommended content, weather updates, and other information using your voice. Users can also control the lighting in their homes.
Chromecast HD also makes it easy to create Google Meet video chats by placing your phone, displaying Google Photos on your TV, and casting it on your TV. Users can also get recommendations suitable even for children.
