Google Pixel 6a India Launch: Over the last two years, Google has avoided introducing its flagship and cheaper Pixel smartphones in India. The Pixel 4a was the last Pixel phone to be released in the nation in 2020. However, that will change this year with the introduction of the company’s latest budget-focused Pixel 6a, which was introduced at Google I/O 2022, as the Mountain View firm prepares to market the smartphone in India. The Pixel 6a will be available in India
Following a slew of leaks and rumors, Google officially announced the Pixel 6a, Pixel Buds Pro, and a sneak glance at the Pixel tablet yesterday. The firm not only disclosed the device’s debut date, which is July 28, but also a comprehensive list of countries where the Pixel 6a will be available at launch.

Google included various nations in its official paperwork, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Germany, and others, but not India. As a result, we noted in our launch story that the Pixel 6a will not be available in India.
However, according to an official tweet, Google has officially announced that the Pixel 6a will be released in India in the second half of 2022. Although the firm did not provide a specific schedule, Google allegedly stated that once the Pixel 6a was released in 12 worldwide regions in July, the smartphone will be released in India at a later date.
We’re so thrilled to announce that the Pixel 6a is coming to India later this year 🫶

This will be the first Pixel device to be released in India in over two years, as Google has not released a Pixel smartphone in the country since the Pixel 4a due to heavy competition in the budget segment from companies such as Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, and OnePlus, as well as many hardware restrictions in India. While the Pixel 5a was only available in the United States and Japan, Google did not release its flagship Pixel 6 series in India due to chip supply concerns.
As a result, the Pixel 6a’s delayed debut in India might help Google acquire a major part of the country’s mid-premium smartphone category. It has a strong Google Tensor CPU, a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED HDR display, two cameras, and other features.
It is worth noting that Google has not released the Pixel 6a’s pricing in India. The smartphone was released at $449, which is around Rs 34,700. If Google can keep the Pixel 6a under Rs 40,000, it might be an appealing product in the pricing range.
