While Nothing is a relatively new company, it has gained much attention since its founding by Carl Pei. In the past, it has explored both the smartphone and TWS arenas, and now it is rumored that a speaker foray is underway. It’s the first time we’ve seen the purported Nothing speaker.
Nothing Speaker Leaked Design
Kuba Wojciechowski of 91Mobiles gave us a picture of the Nothing Speaker, which isn’t its official name. It’s a white speaker sporting Nothing’s signature transparent design aesthetics.
There’s a transparent handle, two cutouts at the bottom part, presumably the subwoofers, and two black ones that could be the tweeters. There’s another black cutout with the company’s logo, but its purpose is unknown. On both sides of the Phone are buttons; the left has volume and red buttons. On the right is a protruding button (presumably for switching on/off the power) and another for pairing Bluetooth.
This speaker looks interesting, much like the current Nothing lineup. The development of this project will be exciting.
There still needs to be a word on technical aspects. In the meantime, Nothing has released a new teaser that could be for the speakers or even the Nothing Ear (2) TWS earbuds. The speakers was to be released in December 2022, but a 2023 launch is more likely. The speaker and the earbuds will launch at the same time, perhaps in the summer.
Further, the company has announced that its next-generation Mobile, the Nothing Phone (2), will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 series chip and released in late 2023.
Stay tuned for more details, and please share your thoughts on the design of the Nothing Speaker in the comments.
