Tables, repeatedly pressing the ENTER key, superfluous section breaks, inadvertent page breaks, excessive paragraph markers, and other factors might all contribute to these extra pages.

How To Delete a Blank Page from the Center of a Word Document

If you’re working with a lengthy word document and are about to present or print it, check for blank pages and an extra last page.

To do so, press CTRL + SHIFT + 8, or navigate to the Home tab and select the paragraph symbol.

This key combination shows paragraph markers (¶) after each paragraph and each blank line — effectively, whenever you press the ENTER key and at the start of the extra blank page.

To get rid of these excess pages, use your mouse or trackpad to select the paragraph markers and then press the DELETE button. If one of the markers remains, use the BACKSPACE key to erase it.

If you’re patient, you may also delete the blank page(s) by going to the blank pages and using the BACKSPACE key until the paragraph markers disappear.

How to Get Rid of a Blank Page in a Word Document

1st step: To remove an additional blank page that may have been created at the end of your document, go to the View tab and select:

Step 2: Navigate to the Navigator Pane. This will open a sidebar with three tabs: Headings>> Pages>>Results. Click on Pages to see all of the document’s pages in the sidebar.

Step 3: The current page will be picked automatically. Click the additional blank page to select it, then press the DELETE key on your keyboard to delete it.

You may also get rid of this extra blank page by using the BACKSPACE key.
