Huawei has announced the new Honor 6X mid-range smartphone with a dual-camera setup on the back.
The Honor 6X has a 5.5-inch 1080p display on the front with a 2.5D curved glass. It runs on a new Kirin 655 SoC with octa-core CPU (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53) and Mali T830-MP2 GPU, with a choice of 3GB or 4GB RAM on the 32GB model and 4GB RAM on the 64GB model, with microSD support.
On the back is the dual-camera system with a 12 megapixel main camera with 6P lens, and PDAF, and a second 2 megapixel sensor. We are not quite sure what the second camera does yet. On the front is an 8 megapixel sensor.
The Honor 6X also has fingerprint sensor, hybrid SIM slot, 4G VoLTE support, and 3340mAh battery with fast charging.
The Honor 6X will be available in gold, silver, grey, blue, and rose gold and is priced at 999 yuan ($148) for the 3GB/32GB model, 1299 yuan ($192) for the 4GB/32GB model, and 1599 yuan ($237) for the 4GB/64GB model. It is available for pre-order in China today and will go on sale on October 25.
