iOS 16 Battery Percentage Feature: With a ton of new features including a customizable lock screen, focus mode filters, new iMessage, and more, iOS 16 is now mostly available. It also restores the battery level in the status bar, which is a welcome addition. Apple acknowledges that not all iPhone models are affected.
None of these iPhones have a Battery Percentage!
According to recent support documents from Apple, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini do not support battery percentage in iOS 16. Therefore, these models will continue to show the battery level in Control Center, a feature that was previously available on all iPhones.
The battery level is always visible in the status bar of iPhone SE, iPhone 8 and earlier, and even iPad.

The battery percentage is now displayed directly on the home screen of iPhone XS, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, and iPhone series. The 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 14 series do not require specific users to access Control Center for this purpose.
To do this, simply navigate to the Battery section under Settings and enable the Battery percentage option. Therefore, the white battery icon shows the battery percentage until the battery is about 20% full.
