The company claims that this new model is the world’s first dual-mode notebook with a 10-point 14-inch multi-touch panel that comes with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Users have the option of picking up a fourth generation Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor for the Flex 2.
Lenovo has also added a 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT 740M GPU and 4GB of DDR3L RAM to the package. The latter can be expanded up to 8GB of DDR3L RAM. On the audio front, the laptop offers users stereo speakers along with Dolby Advanced Audio. The model comes with 500GB 5400RPM HDD.
Design-wise, the new laptop comes with a black coloured chassis with silver grey edges and measures 343x250x5.8 mm and tips the scales at a heavy 2kgs. The laptop adds in an HD webcam to the offering as well.
The hybrid brings essentials like an HDMI output, one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, a 2-in-1 card reader as well as a combo jack to the table. Other features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are also present. Apart from Lenovo’s Energy Management feature, the Flex 2 makes use of a 4-cell 45Wh battery to give usage time of up to 9 hours between charges.
