Motorola Edge 2022: Motorola’s launch pattern is well-known; it releases a large number of phones, the majority of which are inexpensive. There are, however, certain flagships and mid-rangers. Following the introduction of the high-end Moto Razr 2022 and Moto X30 Pro, the firm has now released the Motorola Edge, a new mid-ranger (2022). This is also the first device to use the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset, which was announced a few months ago. Look at what it has to offer.
Motorola Edge (2022) Details
The Motorola Edge (2022) lacks a distinctive design and closely matches every other Moto G phone. Rear cameras are oriented vertically, and the punch-hole screen is positioned in the middle. It is available in Mineral Gray.
The 6.6-inch screen is OLED and supports a refresh rate of 144Hz, which is still uncommon in today’s market. Additionally, it supports a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 10-bit DCI-P3 colour gamut, Full HD+ screen resolution, and HDR10+.
It is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset, the first from Motorola to support mmWave 5G and Sub-6GHz 5G bands and provide a 5G experience that is up to 53% quicker. Up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage are supported.
A 50MP primary camera with OIS and Omni PDAF, a 13MP ultra-wide lens that also functions as a macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor make up the highly effective camera system on the new Motorola Edge. There is also a 32MP front camera. You may test out features like Instant Night Vision, Super Slow Motion, and Dual Capture.
The phone has powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports wireless charging at 15W, 30W TurboPower fast charging, and 5W reverse charging. On one charge, it is reported to last up to two days. Near-stock Android 12 is installed on the smartphone.
Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos, two stereo speakers, a USB Type-C connector, NFC capability, and IP52 certification. However, the 3.5mm audio jack is absent.
