Apple’s refreshed Macbook Air with faster processor and lower price tag finally comes to India. Starting at 65,900, the Macbook Air now gets powerful processors, fast flash storage, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and up to 12 hours of battery life.
Both 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air units feature a 1.4GHz processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.7GHz and 4GB of memory. The 11-inch Macbook Air offers 128GB and 256GB of flash storage options, starting at Rs 65,900 and Rs 79,900 respectively. The 13-inch MacBook Air with 128GB and 256GB flash storage options are available for a starting price of Rs 72,900 and Rs 86,900 respectively. Configure-to-order options include a 1.7GHz Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.3GHz, up to 8GB of memory and up to 512GB flash storage.
“With Macbook Air starting at Rs 65,900, there’s no reason to settle for anything less than a Mac. Macs have never been more popular, and today we’ve boosted the performance and lowered the price of MacBook Air so even more people can experience the perfect everyday notebook,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
The upgraded device lets users choose from Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The 13-inch Macbook Air comes with up to 12 hours of battery life while the 11-inch Macbook Air offers up to 9 hours.
