Nintendo Switch OLED 2021: Since its debut in 2017, Nintendo’s Switch gaming system has received no significant updates. Nintendo has been said to be planning to improve the Switch hardware for some time, despite the availability of a lower-end “Lite” variant in 2019. So, Nintendo has finally launched an updated Switch model, although it isn’t quite as Pro as one might anticipate.
It’s called the Nintendo Switch OLED, and it’s merely a modest enhancement over the current Switch system. The entire specifications sheet may be found here:
Key Specifications and Features of the Nintendo Switch OLED
The Nintendo Switch OLED has a 7-inch OLED display with 720p resolution, which has been improved. The internals hasn’t changed because the CPU, GPU, or RAM haven’t been upgraded. The newest Switch OLED, on the other hand, comes with 64GB of internal storage, up from 32GB in the previous generation.
Furthermore, Nintendo claims that the new Switch OLED model has better audio performance for portable and tabletop games. In addition, as previously reported, the Switch OLED has a new kickstand on the rear that allows players to place the tablet on flat surfaces during multiplayer gaming sessions.
The Switch OLED is backward compatible with all prior game titles and Joy-Con controllers. It’s also a little heavier than the previous model, weighing 0.32kg, a little more than the basic Switch model’s 0.29kg.
In terms of battery life, Nintendo claims that the Switch OLED will last up to 9 hours on a single charge. This is the same as the Nintendo Switch before it. The new gadget is available in two colours: black and white. The white set comes with two white Joy-Con controllers, while the red and blue set comes with two red and blue Joy-Con controllers.

New Dock
The firm also introduced a new dock for the Switch OLED, in addition to the new Switch OLED. It has a built-in ethernet connection at the rear, as expected, for connecting to a LAN network while in TV mode. Both the newest OLED model and the regular Switch console are compatible with the new dock.
Availability and Price
When it comes to pricing and availability, the Nintendo Switch OLED will cost $350 (Rs 26,159) and will be on sale on October 8. Switch OLED may be seen on the company’s official website.
