There has yet to be an official release of Nothing OS 1.5 based on Android 13 for the new Nothing Phone (1). The beta is quite far along in its development. It offers many new features and a smoother and more secure user experience. Check out what’s new.
Nothing OS 1.5 Beta (Android 13): Details
You can now download and use the latest Nothing Phone (1) update. V1.5 features up to 50% faster app loading times and a sleek new Weather app that is available with the new custom UI. You’ll also be able to find a greater variety of exclusive themes for your phone and get some nifty updates in Quick Settings and volume control.
Multiple languages are now available for individual apps, and the media player has implemented a new design. Users will also be able to see the Clipboard preview, which tells them information about the clipboard content, such as its creation/modification date, so they can give it more detail or edit it before pasting if necessary. The quick settings have also included a QR code scanner.
With the addition of Android 13 on your phone, you now have many privacy features. The Photo Picker will allow users to choose which images they want to share. Media permissions and notifications permissions are all available in OS 13.1.5. With OS 13.1.5, new Live Captions and the ability to close background apps via the notification center will help save your battery life.
The new Game Mode in the Google Assistant includes a new UI for notifications and the inclusion of the Google Game Dashboard to support screenshots, screen recording, FPS display, and Do Not Disturb. Additionally, the update increases background memory so that you always have plenty of resources available for timely needs. The newest features included are self-repair to ensure your phone stays fresh by clearing cache and system dumps.
Those of you who are part of the beta testing phase will be able to experience these changes right away, with nothing else to wait for on the horizon. Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5 will also be available in early 2023 to all other Nothing Phone (1) users!
