According to reports, the OnePlus 10R would be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8000-Series Chipset.
OnePlus recently announced its ‘More Power to You’ event on April 28th, which will most likely include the release of the speculated Nord CE 2 Lite, Nord-branded earphones, and the OnePlus 10R. We now have information on the processor that will power the OnePlus 9R sequel ahead of its introduction.
Confirmation of the OnePlus 10R Processor
According to OnePlus India CEO Navnit Nakra, the OnePlus 10R would arrive with a MediaTek Dimensity 8000-series processor. While no proof has been provided, the chipset in issue might be the Dimensity 8100. Its predecessor, as you may recall, had a Snapdragon SoC.
For those who are unaware, this is the same processor that powers the recently released Redmi K50 and Realme GT Neo 3. The OnePlus 10R, by the way, is anticipated to be a renamed version of the GT Neo 3.
Concerning the other specifications, we don’t have any confirmation, although there are rumours to look into. The OnePlus 10R is said to include a 6.7-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED center-placed punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate (a first for the OnePlus). The device will offer up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
A 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera are possible. A 16MP selfie camera is also on the way.
The OnePlus 10R will most likely be powered by a 4,5o0mAh battery with 150W fast charging, which will be another first for the business. For those who are unaware, the speculated OnePlus Nord 3 is also supposed to feature 150W fast charging. OxygenOS 12, based on Android 12, NFC support, stereo speakers, and more features might be included.
However, you should be aware that the aforementioned data are hearsay, so take them with a grain of salt. Furthermore, there is no word yet on whether the 10R will be available in India on April 28. We’ll have answers to these questions in the coming days. So, stay tuned for further updates.
