OnePlus 15 to Feature & Details
BOE X3 OLED Display with 165Hz Refresh Rate

According to the official OnePlus Weibo account, the upcoming OnePlus 15 will feature the third-generation BOE X3 OLED panel, marking the third time OnePlus has partnered with BOE for its flagship displays since the OnePlus 12 in 2024.
The panel will support an impressive 165Hz refresh rate, delivering ultra-smooth scrolling and gameplay. Beyond refresh rate, OnePlus says this new OLED technology provides a 13% improvement in peak brightness over the OnePlus 13, potentially reaching up to 6,000 nits for outdoor visibility.
Despite this brightness boost, the X3 OLED display is expected to be more efficient, reducing power consumption by around 10% compared to the previous generation. OnePlus also claims better colour accuracy, with an 11.8% reduction in colour shift and a 30% increase in panel lifespan, making it both vivid and durable.
1 Nit Low Brightness Mode for Better Eye Comfort
In another Weibo post, OnePlus confirmed a 1-nit low brightness mode for the OnePlus 15. This feature aims to provide a more comfortable viewing experience in dark environments. By reducing blue light emissions and minimising flicker, it helps reduce eye strain and fatigue during nighttime use.
Interestingly, this technology will also appear in the upcoming Vivo X300 and Oppo Find X9 series, suggesting it could become a new industry standard for flagship smartphones in 2025.
New Display P3 Chip for Enhanced Visuals
The OnePlus 15 will also include a new Display P3 chip, designed to work alongside the BOE X3 panel. This dedicated display processor is expected to enhance colour accuracy and brightness, offering up to 3x the industry-average picture brightness.
Additionally, the P3 chip boasts the fastest single-row pixel charging time in the industry at 1.3 microseconds, promising crisp, fluid visuals with better response times.
OnePlus 15 Could Feature a 7,300mAh Battery and 120W Charging
Apart from the display upgrades, recent leaks have revealed that the OnePlus 15’s battery might pack a massive 7,300 mAh, making it the largest ever on a OnePlus flagship. The phone is also rumoured to support 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring top-tier power performance.
Camera and Hardware Details
On the camera front, the OnePlus 15 is expected to feature a triple rear setup that includes:
- A 50MP Sony LYT-700 main sensor
- A 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom
- A 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide camera
Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, confirmed by OnePlus. Additional expected features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP68/69 water- and dust-resistant design, and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port for faster data transfer.
