OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro Price in India: Starting at Rs. 49,999, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro with Snapdragon 888 and 120Hz Display are available.
OnePlus has unveiled its flagship 9 series in India, including the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, following various leaks and official teasers. These are the first OnePlus smartphones to feature a camera calibration partnership with Hasselblad. In India, there is also a third OnePlus 9 smartphone, the OnePlus 9R, which is aimed at gamers. The OnePlus 9 series’ full specifications and prices can be found below.
Specifications, Display, and Design of the OnePlus 9
The OnePlus 9 has a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. With HDR10+ certification, the device has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits.
The front of the laptop has a flat display, and the back has a curved design. The Arctic Sky colour option has a standard blue matte finish, while the Winter Mist colour option has a gradient refraction effect. In contrast, Astral Black has a matte black film underneath the shiny glass.
Internals and Chipset
Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 888 5G chipset is in charge under the hood. The handset has dual-mode 5G connectivity and supports the NSA/SA 5G bands n41 and n78 out of the box. The device comes with 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB of UFS3.1 storage. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC are all supported for connectivity. Besides, the device runs OxygenOS 11 on Android 11 internationally and ColorOS 11 in China.
Camera
As you may be aware, OnePlus has collaborated with Hasselblad, a Swedish camera manufacturer, for the 9 series’ camera system. According to OnePlus, Hasselblad assisted in the development of a natural colour calibration system for color-accurate shots. Besides, the camera interface has a Hasselblad Pro mode.
A 48MP f/1.8 Sony IMX689 sensor, a 50MP f/2.2 IMX766 ultra-wide sensor with a freeform lens, and a 2MP monochrome camera make up the OnePlus 9’s triple camera system. Tilt-shift mode is available on both the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro for a miniature effect. The gadget has a 16MP f/2.4 IMX471 front punch-hole camera on the left corner for selfies. The handset is capable of recording 8K videos at 30 fps.
Pro Gaming mode (previously known as Fnatic mode) is a gaming-related feature that blocks apps and calls alerts when you’re playing games. The stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, according to OnePlus, should provide an immersive gaming experience. A bigger vapor chamber and graphite and copper layers have also been added to the device’s haptic motor and cooling system.
Battery & Warp Charge
The OnePlus 9 is powered by a dual-cell 4500 mAh battery. It is compatible with Warp Charge 65T, which allows for 65W wired rapid charging. The device, according to OnePlus, should go from zero to one hundred percent in 29 minutes.
While the OnePlus 9 comes with 15W Qi wireless charging in North America and Europe, it’s worth noting that the OnePlus 9 retail units in India do not. Yes, the 65W power adapter is included in the box. Non-OnePlus laptops can be charged at 45W via USB PD or PPS with the included adapter.
Specifications, Display, and Design of the OnePlus 9 Pro
The OnePlus 9 Pro has a 6.7-inch Quad-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 3216 x 1440 pixel resolution, 10-bit colour depth, 20.1:9 aspect ratio, and 1,300 nits peak brightness. A 120Hz refresh rate is supported by the device’s LTPO panel. The device will automatically switch the refresh rate depending on the current use-case thanks to LTPO. When viewing static images, the display should go as low as 1Hz, up to 24Hz for media consumption, and 120Hz for scrolling through the interface.
The 9 Pro’s Morning Mist color model is a blend of silver and black tones. Meanwhile, the Pine Green colour variant has a double-layer matte finish, while the Stellar Black colour variant has frosted matte glass with a sandstone finish, just like the original OnePlus One. It’s also water and dust resistant, with an official IP68 rating.
Internals and Chipset
The Snapdragon 888 5G chipset is used in the OnePlus 9 Pro, just like it is in the ordinary OnePlus 9. Out of the box, the handset accepts the NSA/SA 5G frequencies n41 and n78. 8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage options are available. The software and connectivity options are identical to the non-Pro version.
Camera
The OnePlus 9 Pro has a quad-camera setup on the back. It has a 48MP f/1.8 IMX789 sensor on the back, a 50MP f/2.2 IMX766 ultra-wide sensor with a freeform lens on the front, an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3.3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom on the front, and a 2MP mono camera on the front.
The ultra-wide camera, according to OnePlus, would record time-lapse videos even while walking. You can also record 8K video at 30 frames per second, 1080p and 4K time-lapse videos at 30 frames per second, and super slow-motion footage in 720p at 480 frames per second and 1080p at 240 frames per second. A 16MP f/2.4 IMX471 sensor is housed in a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner for the front camera.
Gaming
OnePlus claims that the OnePlus 9 Pro’s display syncs at 360Hz in select gaming titles, including PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, League of Legends, and Brawl Stars, thanks to Hyper Touch. You also have the new Pro Gaming Mode, which allows you to play without interruption.
Battery
Thanks to Warp Charge 65T, the 9, Pro’s 4,500 mAh dual-cell battery can be fully charged in 29 minutes. Furthermore, the device supports 50W wireless charging, dubbed Warp Charge 50 Wireless by OnePlus. The firm says that the device can be fully charged wirelessly in 43 minutes. It’s an improvement over the OnePlus 8 Pro’s Warp Charge 30 Wireless.
Availability and OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro Price in India
The OnePlus 9 will be sold in three colour options: Winter Mist, Arctic Sky, and Astral Black. The OnePlus 9’s 8GB+128GB base model costs Rs. 49,999. On the other hand, the 12GB+256GB model costs Rs. 54,999, OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro Price in India.
Morning Mist, Pine Green, and Stellar Black are the three color options for the OnePlus 9 Pro. The 8GB+128GB model begins at Rs. 64,999 and gets up to Rs. 69,999 for the 12GB+256GB model.
