Realme GT 5G and Realme GT Master Edition: Realme has introduced its flagship GT series in India, as promised. In the nation, the firm has released two smartphones from its GT line. This includes the Realme GT 5G, which has a Snapdragon 888 processor, and the Realme GT Master Edition, which has a Snapdragon 778G processor. Both phones include a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 64MP camera, and other features.
So, before we get into the pricing and availability, let’s have a look at the Realme GT series’ major characteristics and features.

Realme GT 5G
The Realme GT 5G is the same phone that the company released in China and the rest of the world earlier this year. The Realme GT’s design is inspired by sports cars, and it comes with two back-panel options: one with a vegan leather-based back panel and another with a glass back panel.
The phone has a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. It features a 20:9 aspect ratio and supports the DCI-P3 colour gamut in its entirety as well as HDR10+. In addition, there is a fingerprint sensor embedded in the display for biometric authentication.

The Realme GT is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 processor, which has an Adreno 660 GPU. Up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage are available. Additionally, Dynamic RAM Expansion is supported, allowing the device to allocate up to 7GB of ROM to RAM for quicker multitasking.
The gadget is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W rapid charging. According to the manufacturer, the device can be fully charged in just 35 minutes.
Realme has also included a stainless steel VC cooling system to keep the device cool during high-performance activities. During intensive operations like gaming or video editing, the device’s temperature can be reduced by up to 15 degrees Celsius.
In terms of optics, the Realme GT 5G has a three-camera system on the back. A 64MP Sony IMX682 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor are all included. At the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera with a punch-hole.
Aside from that, the device can connect to 5G networks. Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.2 are also supported for high-speed connectivity. A USB-C connector for charging and data transfer is included, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone comes pre-installed with Realme UI 2.0, which is based on Android 11. Dashing Blue, Dashing Silver, and Racing Yellow are the three color options.
Realme GT Master Edition
The Realme GT Master Edition, on the other hand, has similar specifications to its higher-end brother. There are a few major changes in terms of appearance and what’s beneath the hood, however.
The Realme GT Master Edition has 3D molding vegan leather and a suitcase-inspired design. It measures 8.7mm thick and weighs around 180g. The display of the Realme GT Master Edition is a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate capability. It also has a 20:9 aspect ratio and HDR10+ compatibility.
The Realme GT Master Edition is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, as well as Dynamic RAM Expansion capability. It allows the device to allocate up to 5GB of ROM to RAM to improve performance.
In terms of cameras, the smartphone has a triple camera system in the rear, just like its elder sister. A 64MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro sensor are all included.
The Realme GT Master Edition cameras place a premium on street photography, with a specialized mode, unique filters, and AI capabilities. There’s also a 32MP selfie camera with a punch-hole in the front.
In terms of battery capacity, the Realme GT Master Edition has a 4,300mAh battery with 65W rapid charging capability. It comes pre-installed with the Realme UI 2.0, which is based on Android 11.
Aside from that, 5G connection, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 are also supported. A fingerprint sensor is included in the display, as well as a USB-C connector and a headphone jack. Cosmos Black, Luna White, and Voyager Grey are the three color options.
Availability and Price
In terms of cost, the higher-end Realme GT 5G will be available in two options. The entry-level 8GB + 128GB model will cost Rs. 37,999, while the higher-end 12GB + 256GB model will cost Rs. 41,999.
The Realme GT Master Edition is available in three different variants. The basic model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 25,999. The entry-level 8GB + 128GB model costs Rs. 27,999, while the top-tier 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 29,999.
Both Smartphones will be available for purchase only on Flipkart and Realme’s online shop. The Realme GT 5G will be available for purchase on August 25th, while the Realme GT Master Edition will be available on August 26th. So, which of these two devices will you purchase?
