The battle for the best foldable smartphone is heating up, and Realme is the latest brand to join the fray. With Samsung, Oppo, Tecno, OnePlus, and Pixel all offering their foldable models, it’s no surprise that Realme is teasing its first-ever foldable phone.
CEO Madhav Sheth took to Twitter to ask fans about their preferences for a Realme Fold or a Realme Flip, hinting that one or both models will launch soon. While details are scant, patent images suggest that the Realme GT 2 Fold will feature a vertical folding mechanism similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, dual 50MP rear cameras, and a 6.5-inch secondary screen.
We’ve been hearing rumors about a Realme foldable phone for a while now and finally have our first glimpse of the device. Patent images that were recently leaked show a vertically folding phone that bears a striking resemblance to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The phone is rumored to be called the Realme GT 2 Fold and is expected to launch sometime in 2021. The primary screen on the device will measure 8 inches, while the secondary screen will be 6.5 inches. As for the cameras, there will be a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP sensor.
