Redmi G (2021) Gaming Laptop: Xiaomi not only provides the RedmiBook series for students and working professionals, but it also entered the gaming market with the Redmi G gaming laptop last year. It had a 144Hz display, a 10th-generation Intel CPU, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX GPU. The Chinese company has now updated the Redmi G series with 11th-generation Intel Core or AMD 5000 series processors, Nvidia RTX GPUs, and other features.

Xiaomi just unveiled the Redmi G (2021) gaming laptop in China via its official Weibo handle. The gadget has a 16.1-inch Full HD display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080p.

The new Redmi G laptop can be configured with either an 11th-generation Intel Core i5-11260H CPU or an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor. The Intel SKU has the Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU as well as Intel Iris XE integrated graphics. In contrast, the Ryzen SKU has the Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU as well as Radeon integrated graphics.
The Redmi G laptop has the Hurricane Cooling 3.0 system for thermal performance, which includes huge 12V fans, five copper heat pipes, and four air outlets to keep the device cool during gaming or high-performance tasks.
In terms of connectivity, the laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 technologies. Users can connect up to three 4K external displays at the same time. In terms of battery life and other features, both the Intel and AMD versions include a backlit keyboard. The Intel model has a 180W power adapter, whereas the AMD model includes a 230W power adapter.
Furthermore, the Redmi G (2021) laptop includes two USB 3.2 connections, one USB 2.0 port, a USB-C port for 4K 60Hz displays, an HDMI port, a micro DP 1.4 port for 5K 60Hz output, and a gigabit ethernet port. A 3.5mm audio connection and twin DTS:X 2W speakers are also included. The laptop will come pre-installed with Windows 10 and will be upgradeable to the forthcoming Windows 11 operating system.
Price and Availability
In China, the Redmi G (2021) with Intel CPU and RTX 3050 GPU priced 5,999 yuan (Rs 65,092). The AMD version, on the other hand, is priced at 6,999 yuan (Rs 79,940).
The Intel SKU of the Redmi G laptop will go on sale tomorrow, September 23. The AMD SKU, on the other hand, will be available for purchase beginning September 28. There is no word on whether Xiaomi intends to release the Laptop in other markets, such as India or Europe.
