Redmi Pad basic Android tablet has been officially released in India today. It’s the first tablet that has launched within Xiaomi’s Redmi brand. One of the interesting aspects is that Redmi Pad is launching first in India. Its price starts at just Rs 14,999. The Redmi Pad will compete against the Oppo Pad Air and Realme Pad.
REDMI PAID PRICE and OFFERS
Redmi Pad starts at Rs 14,999 for the version with 3GB memory and 32GB storage. A model with 4GB memory and 128GB storage can be available for sale at 17999 rupees. The top-of-the-line Redmi Pad 6GB/128GB model is priced at 19999 rupees.
It will also be offered for sale at an introductory price of Rs 12,999, Rs 14,999, and Rs 16,999, Xiaomi has announced.
The Redmi Pad will be accessible on Xiaomi websites, Mi Homes, Flipkart, and retailers, beginning October 5 (12 12 noon). The variant with 6GB/128GB will be exclusive to the Xiaomi website starting at 10 am, beginning October 5.
From October 5-9, customers who use a Bank of Baroda credit card to make purchases on the Xiaomi website will get a discount of up to 10%.
REDMI PAD Details
Redmi Pad comes with a 10.61-inch 2K resolution (2000 1200 x 2000) LCD with IPS technology. It has an impressive 90Hz refresh rate as well as 400 units of brightness. It has an all-metal frame that weighs 465 grams. The basic version (3GB/32GB) is available in Graphite Gray colorway. The 4GB/128GB model is available with Gray in addition to Moonlight Silver. The highest-end 6-GB/128GB Pad comes in three colors: Gray, Silver, and Mint Green.
Under the hood, you’ll find MediaTek’s Helio processor, which comes with 6GB or more memory and 128GB internal storage capacity. This tablet is running MIUI 13 for Pad which is built on Android 12. Xiaomi promises the security update for three years as well as two different versions of Android (13 and 14). It supports multitasking features like floating, split screen, and multi-window. However, Xiaomi claims that only models with 4GB RAM or more will be able to use it.
The battery that powers the tablet will be an 8000mAh battery with 18W fast charging (22.5W charger included in box). The tablet comes with a quad-speaker set-up in this tablet that comes equipped with Dolby Atmos playback capability and an 8MP camera in the front with a landscape orientation. Xiaomi claims it will add the feature known as Focus Frame to this tablet shortly via an update to the software, enabling this camera to monitor your movements and expand the view to 105 degrees to keep the subject(s) in focus. Another 8MP camera is located on the back of the tablet.
The connectivity options available on Redmi Pad’s connectivity options Redmi Pad include Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. Xiaomi will launch its Redmi Pad with only Wi-Fi connectivity. The model is not cellular at the moment of this writing.
