Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Launched in India: Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra Are Now Available in India: Price and Specifications.
Galaxy S22 Series: The Samsung Galaxy S22 starts at Rs. 72,999 in India, while the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra start at Rs. 84,999 and Rs. 1,09,999, respectively.
On Thursday, February 17, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Series were unveiled in India via a Livestream webcast on the company’s social media accounts. The Galaxy S22 series Launched in India, which was unveiled last week at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 virtual event, includes a slew of improvements over last year’s Galaxy S21 models. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, the most expensive model in the lineup, includes integrated S Pen compatibility to provide a Galaxy Note-like experience on the Galaxy S series. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is also included in the India variants of the Galaxy S22 range.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Launched in India
The basic 8GB RAM + 128GB storage edition of the Samsung Galaxy S22 costs Rs. 72,999 in India. The phone is also available in an 8GB + 256GB option, which costs Rs. 76,999. The Samsung Galaxy S22+, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 84,999 for an 8GB + 128GB model and goes up to Rs. 88,999 for an 8GB + 256GB variant.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 1,09,999 for the 12GB + 256GB configuration. The phone also comes in a top-of-the-line 12GB + 512GB option, which costs Rs. 1,18,999. Globally, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S22 Ultra in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 1TB configurations, both of which have yet to be released in India.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will not be available in India till further notice. However, the phones are presently available in the nation for pre-order. The Galaxy S22 series will also be available for pre-order in the nation beginning February 23.
In India, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will be available in Green, Phantom Black, and Phantom White, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available in Burgundy, Phantom Black, and Phantom White for the 12GB + 256GB model and Burgundy and Phantom Black for the 12GB + 512GB variant.
The Samsung Galaxy S22, which has a starting price of $799, was announced last week (roughly Rs. 60,000). The Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, were initially priced at $999 (about Rs. 75,000) and $1,199 (approximately Rs. 99,000), respectively.
Last year, the Samsung Galaxy S21 debuted in India with a starting price of Rs. 69,999, followed by the Galaxy S21+ at Rs. 81,999 and the Galaxy S21 Ultra at Rs. 1,05,999.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S22 runs Android 12 on top of One UI 4.1. The phone comes with a 6.1-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a variable refresh rate of 48–120Hz and a Gorilla Glass Victus+ screen for protection. There’s a 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood, as well as 8GB of RAM as standard. A 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens and optical image stabilisation is housed in the Galaxy S22’s triple rear camera arrangement (OIS). The Galaxy S22+, on the other hand, has a bigger 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display than the Galaxy S22, but it has the same variable 48–120Hz refresh rate. The phone also includes Wi-Fi 6E and Ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity, as well as a larger, 4,500mAh battery that supports up to 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare support.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is similarly powered by Android 12, with One UI 4.1 on top. In-game mode, it boasts a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a dynamic refresh rate of 1–120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and up to 12GB of RAM power the phone. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, unlike the other two variants, has a quad rear camera configuration that comprises a 108-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. A 10-megapixel telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom and another 10-megapixel telephoto shooter with 10x optical zoom is also included in the camera arrangement.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra features a 40-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens on the front for taking selfies and video chats.
