The dust on Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has barely settled and reports about its successor have started hitting headlines. The new leak by tipster onleaks now confirms the size of the next Samsung S6 iteration reportedly dubbed Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

The leak suggests the S6 Edge Plus will measure 154.45×75.80×6.85mm, which means roughly a display size of 5.5-inches. It should be noted that the current models feature a 5.1-inch display.

The S6 Edge Plus will reportedly also feature the curved edges that are seen in the current Edge model. The above leaked render also shows a larger USB Type-C port. Samsung’s S6 Edge Plus is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 808 CPU. The S6 Edge came with Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 CPU.
“Returning to an external supplier for this key component will drive up the build cost of the S6 Edge Plus, but it’s worth noting that the S6 family was the first time Samsung had supplied handsets with the Exynos system outside of its home territory in any significant volume,” reports Forbes.
Recently, reports about Samsung’s rumoured Galaxy Note 5 also suggested features such as USB 3.1 Type-C port and 5.89-inch display.
If the latest rumours about the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are true, then this may not be a real great move. The company may eventually churn out a device on the similar lines as its own Galaxy Note 5. Samsung is already struggling with sales and may have two premium devices in the same specs bracket.
