At today’s Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Watch 4 series. These are the first smartwatches that feature Samsung’s brand-new 5nm Exynos W920 processor. The fact that these new Galaxy watches run the WearOS-based One UI Watch is also significant.
Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Classic
The Samsung Watch 4 is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Classic is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes. On the 40mm and 42mm versions, you receive a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with 396 x 396-pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass DX+ protection (DX on Classic). Samsung provides a bigger 1.4-inch AMOLED display with 450 x 450 resolution and DX+ (DX on Classic) protection on the 44mm and 46mm versions.
The 1.18GHz dual-core Exynos W920 processor, based on a 5nm process node, is utilized in the Galaxy Watch series. The smartwatch runs on Samsung’s Wear OS, with the One UI Watch 3 skin on top. The Galaxy Watch 4 series will be available for pre-order starting August 11 and will begin arriving on August 27. The 44mm Watch 4 is available in Black, Green, and Silver, while the 40mm Watch 4 is available in Black, Pink Gold, and Silver. The Watch 4 Classic is available in two colour options: black and silver. In late September, Samsung will also release a limited-edition Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Thom Browne.
