T-Mobile CMO Mike Sievert announced on Twitter yesterday that user interest in the Galaxy S5 is very high, and stated that the carrier recorded over 100,000 pre-registrations for Samsung’s flagship device.  T-Mobile launched the registration page for users interested in the device as soon as it was officially unveiled, and while such pages are usually created to gauge user interest, Sievert mentioned that the Galaxy S5 launch will “be big.”
The actual price of the T-Mobile version of the Galaxy S5 seems to
be $672 for the unlocked version, according to a placeholder ousted by TmoNews. That price is only $48 more than what the unlocked version of the Galaxy S4 is retailing for. Other estimates online suggest that the Galaxy S5 will be available in the $550-600 segment unlocked and $200-250 with a contract. Samsung is also rumored to be working on a new higher-end version of the Galaxy S5 with an all-metallic chassis, so there are chances that the retail price of the Galaxy S5 will actually be lower than $600. The device will be available on April 11 in 150 countries.
