Vivo X300 Ultra Global Launch Surprise: Not a China-Exclusive Flagship Anymore!

The Vivo X300 Ultra could soon become the brand’s first “Ultra” phone to launch outside China. For years, Vivo’s Ultra lineup has been known for pushing the limits of mobile photography. Still, fans around the world have never been able to buy one officially. That might finally change.

Vivo X300 Ultra Spotted in Global Database

According to a SmartPrix report, the Vivo X300 Ultra has been spotted in the GSMA IMEI database under the model number V2562. While the database doesn’t mention any specific country, this listing strongly hints at a global release.

If that happens, it will be the first time an Ultra model from Vivo reaches markets outside China. Both the X100 Ultra and X200 Ultra were exclusive to China, leaving international users disappointed. With the X300 Ultra, Vivo could finally open its premium photography experience to the rest of the world, including India.

Model Number Patterns Support Global Launch

Looking at past launches gives more clues. The China-only X100 Ultra and X200 Ultra models carried model numbers V2366GA and V2454A, respectively. In contrast, global or Indian models such as the X200 (V2406) and X200 Pro (V2413) did not include a letter suffix. The X300 Ultra follows the same pattern, suggesting it is heading for a wider release.

Still, this is not official confirmation. Vivo hasn’t made any announcements yet, so it’s best to wait until the company confirms its plans.

Camera Specs: Two 200 MP Sensors

Photography is once again expected to be the main highlight. The Vivo X300 Ultra is rumored to feature a triple-camera setup on the back, including:

  • 200 MP primary camera using Sony’s IMX09E sensor
  • 200 MP periscope telephoto camera using Samsung’s HPB “Thanos” sensor
  • 50 MP ultra-wide camera using Sony’s IMX09A sensor

This would give the phone one of the most powerful camera combinations ever seen on a smartphone. The continued partnership with Zeiss is also expected to lead to improved image processing, realistic color tones, and strong low-light performance.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Power

Another significant change could come under the hood. Unlike the China-only X300 models powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, the global version of the X300 Ultra might run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. This would give it flagship-level performance, with improved AI processing and greater power efficiency.

Expected Release Timeline

If Vivo follows its usual schedule, the X300 Ultra will likely launch in China first around April 2026, followed by a global release soon after. While this timeline is based on leaks and patterns, it fits Vivo’s typical launch strategy for its premium phones.

What This Means for Vivo Fans

A global launch would be a big move for Vivo. It would allow more users to experience the company’s top-tier camera technology without having to import devices. This could also help Vivo compete directly with brands like Samsung and Xiaomi in the global flagship market.

Final Thoughts

The Vivo X300 Ultra looks set to raise the bar for smartphone photography once again, this time on a worldwide stage. With two 200 MP cameras, Zeiss optics, and the latest Snapdragon processor, it could become one of the most powerful camera phones ever made.

If the IMEI listing proves accurate, Vivo fans around the world finally have something exciting to look forward to.
