Launch of the Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro with Snapdragon 888 and 120W Fast-Charging.
Black Shark, a Xiaomi-backed gaming smartphone company, has launched the Black Shark 4 series in China today. The Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro are two new devices from the brand. Both devices have Snapdragon chipsets, triple cameras, 120W rapid charging, and other comparable features, although their designs are slightly different.
So, before we get into the pricing and availability, let’s take a closer look at the Black Shark 4 series’ key specifications and features.
Key Specifications for the Black Shark 4 & 4 Pro
The Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro also share many of the same characteristics. To begin with, all models have a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate. That is the highest rate of touch response of any smartphone. It outperforms the new Poco F3, which has a 360Hz touch sample rate, and the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which will have a 480Hz touch input rate.
On all models, the display has a punch-hole design to accommodate the front-facing selfie camera. The BlackShark 4 and 4 Pro have a triple-camera setup at the back. The primary lens on the Pro version is a 64MP sensor, while the primary lens on the non-Pro model is 48MP. Besides, both models have an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP sensor.
Besides, all models have a couple of physical trigger buttons built into the device’s chassis. These buttons are flush with the body, but when pressed, they pop out to become pressable buttons. They can be used as game extra buttons or one-click buttons for basic commands.
Furthermore, both models support 120W fast charging, which was verified by the company before today’s launch.
Key Differences in the Black Shark 4/ 4 Pro
Now, let’s look at some of the key differences between the two devices. There aren’t very many. The chipset is one of the main distinctions between the Pro and non-Pro variants.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset is found inside the standard Black Shark 4. The Pro version, on the other hand, comes with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 5G chipset.
The physical design language, particularly the back panel, is another difference between the models. The back panel of the standard BS 4 is simplistic, with no additional styling flair. The BS 4 Pro, on the other hand, has a gleaming back panel with a large X-shaped pattern and LED lights for a gamer-like appearance.
Availability and Prices
In terms of pricing and storage, the Black Shark 4 is available in three sizes in China. The base model costs CNY 2,499 and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (Rs. 27,811). The 8GB + 128GB model costs CNY 2,699 (Rs. 30,036), while the highest-end 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 3,299 (Rs. 36,714).
There are three storage options available with the Black Shark 4 Pro. CNY 3,999 (Rs. 44,504) for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 12GB+256GB model costs CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 47,843). In China, the highest-end 16GB+512GB model will cost CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 58,972).
Beginning March 26th, the BlackShark 4 and 4 Pro, as well as some new accessories such as the Gaming Headset, Black Shark Cooling Back Clip 2 Pro, and armor/fluorescent cases, will be available for purchase.
