Xiaomi is set to launch the Xiaomi 13 Pro globally. However, that’s not the only exciting news for Indian Xiaomi and Redmi phone users. The company will also introduce the latest MIUI 14 in India on February 27. It follows the initial launch of MIUI 14 in China in December 2022. So, what can you expect from the new update?
MIUI 14 Set to Launch in India
The new MIUI 14 update will bring many new features to India’s Xiaomi and Redmi phone users. Xiaomi has hinted that the Indian MIUI 14 experience will be exclusive, meaning that there could be new, exclusive features that Indian users will enjoy.
One of the key features of MIUI 14 is its simplified skin, which takes up less space than its predecessor. It occupies around 1.5GB less space than MIUI 13, and there will be fewer pre-installed apps (just 8 uninstall able ones) to save space. There will also be optimizations for third-party apps to reduce power consumption.
Another feature of MIUI 14 is automatic app compression for not frequently used apps, which is expected to improve system fluency by 60%. MIUI 14 also brings new widgets, customizable folders, and icon designs for a fresh new look.
Other features include the new Xiaomi AI Assistant 6.0, several new privacy and security features, health sharing (like on iOS 15), and much more. At launch, we can expect to get the proper release schedule of MIUI 14. The new Xiaomi 13 Pro is expected to come with Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro will feature Leica-backed cameras, including a 1-inch 50MP main camera, a 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1900 nits of brightness, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, 120W fast charging, and much more. It will compete with the OnePlus 11, the iQOO 11, and the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
