It’s been coming along, but Xiaomi has finally revealed the Redmi Note 12 series of budget-to-mid-range smartphones. The new line succeeds the Redmi Note 11. Redmi Note 12 Exploration Edition: Details
The Redmi Note 12 Exploration Edition is a compact and flat-edged appearance.
It resembles the iQOO Z6 regarding its back panel and camera housing.
It’s the show’s star because it has 200MP cameras and support for 210W fast charging.
With a screen size of 6.67 inches and an AMOLED display, the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset, quieter than the Dimensity 920 CPU seen on the Redmi Note 11 Pro, has a 120Hz refresh rate that supports 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The 200MP primary camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and more. There’s a night mode, OIS, Tilt Shift Effect, and more. The selfie camera has a 16MP resolution and a 5,000mAh battery capable of charging entirely in 9 minutes.
This new phone has a 5G connection, dual speakers, Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth version 5.2, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Note 12 Pro+: Details
This year’s Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has many great features, including an 18:9 Notch display.
This phone has a flat-edge design and an AG glass back. The screen features a 6.67-inch punch-hole with a 120Hz refresh and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for quality entertainment. There’s 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage to keep you running all day.
The standout feature is the 200MP primary camera with support for OIS.
This phone has an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera. You’ll also get film camera mode, night mode, and more.
Running Android 13, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ offers a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. It also has NFC and a 3.5mm headphone jack, among other features.
Note 12 Pro: Details
The Redmi Note 12 Pro has the same size as the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and the Redmi Note 12 Exploration Edition. It’s available in four colors: Time Blue, Mirror Porcelain White, Midnight Black, and a Winter Special Light Pink color.
The regular edition has the same display and chipset as the Pro+ model. The difference is that it features a 50MP primary snapper with OIS and a Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The camera features are more or less akin to those of the Pro+.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. It is running MIUI 13 based on Android 13, and it also has an NFC chip and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Xiaomi has come out with the Redmi Note 12 5G, which features a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, 48MP cameras, 33W fast charging, and a 120Hz AMOLED display. The price is CNY 1,199 (~ Rs 13,600). A Redmi Note 12 Trend Edition is also priced at CNY 2,599 (~ Rs 29,600). It features a motorcycle track texture and holographic suspension technology.
